Obesity boosts the risk of cardiovascular problems such as heart disease and stroke , diabetes and some cancers. One expert did note that the definition of vigorous exercise was very limited in the study, and the researchers themselves acknowledged that the device used to track physical activity did not measure swimming or biking very well. In the new study, researchers examined the results of a 2005-2006 government survey of adults aged 20 to 74. Among other things, the survey tracked the weight , diet and sleep patterns of nearly 2,600 adults.

Exercise Pain in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia vs. Rheumatoid Arthritis
When they began the program, participants in the exercise group scored an average of 6.2 on a scale that measures physical performance between zero and 12 – with higher scores indicating better function. The nutrition group similarly scored an average of six at the start. At six months, the exercise group participants scored an average of 7.2, compared to an average of 6.2 among those in the nutrition group. That 0.8 point difference in function between the two groups would be a noticeable difference to the participants, according to the researchers. The exercise group also improved on measures of mobility and daily activity, compared to those in the nutrition group.

Exercise to beat dementia: Regular physical activity ‘boosts brain regeneration’
Researchers had a group of women with ME/CFS/FMS, a group of women with rheumatoid arthritis (RA,) and a group of healthy women exercise on a bicycle and looked at several measures of pain before and after the sessions. Half of them received p90X3 a placebo while the others were given the pain drug paracetamol . Exertion levels were below maximums and exercise sessions were a full week apart. Their analysis showed: The RA group had reductions in pain after exercise, both with the drug and with the placebo; In the ME/CFS/FMS placebo group, some measures showed worsening pain while other measures were in conclusive but seemed to indicate worsening; In the ME/CFS/FMS paracetamol group, some people had a decrease in pain measurements, but the decrease was not significant.

At-Home Exercise Helps After Hip Break: study
“They come in three days a week, and have the same social interaction etc. The main difference is in the type of physical exercise and the intensity of exercise. One group does walking around a track and the other does light stretching, rather than aerobic exercise,” he said. The scientists do not as yet know what causes the brain areas to increase in volume.
